Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Donald Sciaretta grew up with the Claremont Companies. Following his studies at Syracuse University he joined his father’s painting and drywall/carpentry business in 1975 as a superintendent and then project manager, working his way up the ladder and learning the ins and outs of the business.
Now as President and CEO of Claremont Construction Group, Inc, he maintains a signature hands-on approach to executive management, is never far removed from a project and makes himself readily available to all clients. Under Don’s leadership CCG has undergone a strategic evolution from its roots as one of the largest interior subcontractors in the U.S. to a highly regarded, valued, and consistently successful general contracting company completing a diverse array of projects including educational facilities, commercial projects and thousands of multifamily residential units for some of the largest developers and owners in the region and country. Don is also intensely involved in the real estate development and investment side of the business, including the planning, construction and management of real estate projects for Claremont’s, and its partners’, own account.
Stephen Sciaretta joined Claremont in 1979 following his education at Georgetown University and Seton Hall Law School and his tenure as an associate attorney at a major Newark, New Jersey law firm.
At Claremont he manages the real estate development, finance and marketing efforts of the company as well as the legal and financial functions of Claremont Construction Group, Inc., including capital investment. While working together with his brother, Don, in the transformation of the contracting business to exclusively general construction, Steve has spearheaded the growth and diversification of the company’s real estate portfolio over the past thirty years, including the completion, marketing, management and successful disposition of multiple office properties, retail centers and high-end full service hotels.
